On Monday, March 16th, at the Motorola Channel Partner Expo in Las Vegas, be among the first to view the product that will fundamentally change the way two-way radio service and maintenance is done:
The R8000 from General Dynamics - NOW SHIPPING!
We spent a lot of time asking radio technicians what they need in a communications analyzer. Here is some of what they told us:
- They need something light that they can easily take to the field without lugging lots of additional equipment.
- They need a high performance spectrum analyzer with a low noise floor and sophisticated measurement capability.
- They need a large bright, clear, display.
- They need an instrument that doesn't take several minutes to "boot up" before it is ready to use.
- They need an intuitive, easily navigated user interface.
- They need the ability to add features, options and protocols quickly without having to send the unit to a service facility.
It became readily apparent that to meet these demanding requirements, a new platform would have to be developed from the ground up.
General Dynamics took on that challenge, and at the Motorola Channel Partner Expo next week, you will see the result of an intensive three-year program to develop the world's first software defined, fully-portable, full-featured communications analyzer: the R8000.
Never again will you have to choose between the performance of a heavy bench instrument and the reduced feature set of a lighter, more portable device. Look at this partial list of the R8000's capabilities:
- MOTOTRBO™ test capability
- Accepts up to 150 Watts of RF power without any external attenuators
- Spectrum analyzer noise floor better than -120dBm
- Bright, 8.4" LCD display viewable in most any lighting conditions
- "Dual Scope" feature, allowing simultaneous viewing of carrier signal on spectrum analyzer and modulation on the modulation scope
- 3GHz receive and generate capability
- Remotely controllable via Ethernet port from any networked PC with optional Remote Front Panel software
Be sure to drop by our booth at the Motorola Channel Partner Expo to see the future of communications test equipment. In addition, we'll have a special offer available ONLY to Expo attendees.
