Ku-band Terminals Feature One-button Satellite Acquisition
SATCOM Technologies' Sentinel™ Model 2985 (98cm) and 2125 (1.2M), auto acquire antenna terminals are economical and ideally suited for remote, mobile satellite communication applications. When integrated with either a Hughes Network Services or IDirect network access modem or a separate satellite modem, the Sentinel stow-mobile VSAT terminal provides immediate Broadband Internet or Broadband video access via Ku-band, respectively.
Todd Hershberger, Sentinel Product Line Manager, said, "The Sentinel Auto Acquire Terminal is easy to transport either roof-mounted on vehicles or with transit cases and offers true, one-button push satellite acquisition.
"Because it is so easy to use, the Sentinel is an ideal SATCOM solution for all remote locations such as oil and gas exploration, satellite news gathering, Homeland Security, disaster recovery missions or services, and emergency mobile office and business continuity services," Hershberger said.

The Sentinel's simple design allows for easy installation with common cable materials. The system's single, Model 7000 Control unit can be either rack mounted, or secured close to the Sentinel’s reflector and base. An Ethernet port allows full system access via a web page interface for initialization.
Sentinel reflectors are manufactured with high strength, molded Fiber Reinforced Polymer for stiffness in wind conditions up to 40-MPH (64.3Km/h). The pedestals are powder-coated aluminum and feature stainless steel hardware and brass bushings.
