Self-contained unit with 2.4-meter antenna is easy to transport and
moves video, voice and data at multiple E1 and T1 speeds over C-,
X-, Ku-, or Ka-Bands.
TriPoint Global's Model 240 AT
Quad-Band Satellite Earth Terminal is meeting new, global
requirements for faster and more versatile tactical, mobile
communications.
The US and international
governments are using the Model 240 AT to quickly restore civilian
communications in an emergency and to meet increased demands for
improved tactical military communications.
Chris Callow, Sales Manager for
TriPoint Global's VertexRSI Antenna business, said, "The Model
240 AT can be transported anywhere in the world quickly and easily
and provides versatile, communications capabilities when
deployed."
The lightweight 240 AT is one of
the easiest, full service satellite terminals to transport and use.
It fits into a standard A-2 shipping container used aboard C-130 or
B-727 aircraft and can be shipped anywhere in the world over night.
When it arrives, the unit's optional on-board tire inflation,
standard universal brake light wiring harnesses, and simplified
hitch equipment allows a light truck or even a car to tow it. In
addition, the 240 AT's power supply can be completely self-contained
with up to two generators or it can be plugged into external shore
power. When deployed, the 240 AT can be operated by its own control
panel or remotely by a PC.
The Model 240 AT transmits and
receives voice, video and data at multiple E1 and T1 data rates to
supply a host of communications services. TriPoint Global has sold
more than 50 units which have been used worldwide to support
emergency civilian communications, provide civilian and military
video uplinks, serve as emergency telephone switchboards at forest
fire command posts, and to meet the full demands of US and allied
Communications and Command and Control requirements.
"The 240 AT Satellite Earth
Terminal is field proven unit that can be produced, shipped and
deployed quickly," Callow added.
